Lebanese restaurant in Madrid. Fruits, vegetables, legumes, yogurt and defatted meats. Lebanese cuisine is characterized by the abundance of fresh ingredients in dishes full of flavor and very healthy, low-fat, colorful and very exotic. As in all Arab culture, food is a symbol of hospitality and togetherness, hence “Beytna” means “our home”.

In Beytna, Lebanese restaurant in Madrid, among these appetizers that make up a mezze can not miss the Hummus, a chickpea cream with Tahini (sesame sauce): the Tabbouleh or chopped parsley salad with tomato, lemon, fresh mint, onion and Bulgur; or the Fatoosh or mixed salad with toasted pita bread and sumac.

We have a wide range of desserts that put the sweet end to a charming meal. Like the rest of our menu, they have fresh and typical Lebanese ingredients such as dried fruits and orange blossom syrup.

Mune madrid

The restaurant, located on Ruiz Street, has two floors that try to reproduce the atmosphere of the streets of Beirut. As soon as we walk through its doors, the smells of spices and freshly made food coming out of the kitchen transport us to the streets of the city, to the nights in the neighborhoods of Jemaize or Mar Mekhael, full of food stalls, and flooded by a multitude of aromas and colors. This second floor, at street level, is reminiscent of the inner courtyard of a typical Lebanese house decorated with tiles and wooden furniture. Going down the stairs we find a more intimate space perfect for enjoying a coffee and traditional pastries, or a more relaxed evening.

The first of Beirutista’s recommended dishes is the Moutabal, a recipe made with roasted and smoked eggplant and fresh pomegranate, which you can spread on the typical pita bread that is also very good.

Not to be missed is the Fatayer, a kind of open pie made with dough fermented for 48 hours (which is why many know it as the “Arab pizza”) that is stuffed with a mixture of cheese and parsley.
