We are talking about the Almeria International Film Festival, one of the most suitable and sought-after places for film shoots. In this edition there are eight feature films in the national section “Ópera Prima”, 35 international shorts in the traditional section “Almería en corto”, and also round tables, talks and tributes.
The program has dedicated an important part of its contents to the 18th Seville European Film Festival. It has also included unpublished images of the painter Julio Romero de Torres that were discarded from a Fox newsreel, and a tribute to Carmen Laffón, the recently deceased Sevillian painter.
Taking advantage of the month of book fairs, we talk to Andalusian publishers and booksellers to find out what is happening in the industry, what are their needs and plans for the future. In addition, Aurelio Verde talks about his novel ‘El suspiro de la flor’ with which he was a finalist for the Ateneo de Sevilla Novel Prize.
The program focused on the 53rd edition of the Cádiz Documentary Film Festival; the premiere of Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” at the Teatro de la Maestranza and the retrospective exhibition that the CAAC is dedicating to the Sevillian artist Nazario, the great icon of counterculture and underground comics.

It was launched on February 28, 1996 under the name of Canal Sur Satélite,[1] thus joining Canal Sur Televisión. In 1997, with the unification of the image of the RTVA channels, it was renamed Andalucía Televisión.
The channel has its own news program, Canal Sur Noticias, which is called CSN Satélite, with the most important news from the regional centers when Canal Sur Televisión is disconnected from the provinces.
The corporate image of Canal Sur Andalucía, from 1997 to 2011, was a C surrounded by 8 lines simulating a sun (one for each Andalusian province) in purple, with the word Andalucía televisión under it.
From February 28, 2011, coinciding with the day of Andalusia, until December 4, 2017, Canal Sur, Canal Sur 2, Canal Sur HD and Canal Sur Andalucía renewed their corporate image, in which they kept the C with the rays but this time enclosed in a box with a different color and the letters corresponding to each channel. For Canal Sur; blue and with a 1 inside; for Canal Sur 2 (formerly Canal 2 Andalucía) green and a 2; for Canal Sur Andalucía, also green and an A and for Canal Sur HD, red and the letters “HD”.
