Her grandparents on her paternal side are José Luis Ortiz Velasco (1923-2005) and Menchu Álvarez del Valle (1928-2021); and on her maternal side are Francisco Julio Rocasolano Camacho (1918-2015) and Enriqueta Rodríguez Figueredo (1919-2008).

At the end of 2007, her own agenda began to grow and differentiate from that of Prince Felipe, participating in numerous solo events and acts thereafter.[14] The princess showed her interest in social issues such as rare diseases, the fight against cancer, and the promotion and dissemination of culture.[15] The princess was also a member of the royal family.
